Pinterest bought Belarusian startup Vochi

The American photo hosting Pinterest bought the Belarusian startup Vochidev.by reports.

Vochi is a mobile video editor that allows you to instantly apply various filters and effects based on machine vision to objects.

Vochi was founded in 2019 by Ilya Lesun, Anna Buglakova, Vasily Kasnitsky, Sergey Malyutin, Andrey Avsievich and Yuri Melnichek.

Even before the cooperation with Pinterest, the Belarusian startup attracted $ 2.4 million of investments.

Pinterest management believes that the Vochi application will give users more opportunities for creativity in the video format. It has not yet been announced exactly how the editor will be integrated into the application, but Pinterest calls the effects offered by the mobile editor "unique in this industry."

Pinterest currently has over 400 million fans worldwide.

You can download Vochi in the App Store or Google Play. In the summer, about half a million active users used the application from Belarusian developers.
