"Pisaravy imyany": a fun premiere at the Kupala Theater
The premiere of the comedy "Pisarava Imyany" took place at the National Academic Theater named after Ya. Kupala, Belarus Today writes.
The comedy was written by a Belarusian playwright Vladislav Golubok directed by Pavel Marinich. This performance, which is Marinich's second work on the Kupala stage, represents a new reading and interpretation of national culture and traditions through scenography and humor.
The chief director of the theater stressed the importance of the play for Belarusian culture, and director Pavel Marinich noted the successful interaction with the actors and the difficulties in creating a comedy. The performance, designed by the People's Artist of Belarus Boris Gerlovan and a student of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Alexandra Granstrom, is the graduation work of her.
