Prices may rise in Belarus in near months
According to the review of the Eurasian Development Bank, inflation may accelerate in Belarus in the last months of 2023 and prices may rise, Sputnik reported.
The growth of wages and the expansion of consumer lending supported consumer demand for goods. In September, retail turnover exceeded last year's figures by 12%. This creates the prerequisites for a more intensive increase in prices.
Earlier, inflation in Belarus decreased significantly. In September, its level updated the historical minimum and amounted to 2%. So far, this fits into the 7-8% plan for the year, which the Belarusian authorities have outlined.
Let us remind you that the National Bank determined the planned inflation rate for 2024.
