Public universities of Belarus raised fees

A significant part of universities has already announced an increase in the cost of education, those who have not done so will announce in the near future. The new fees will be valid in the 2023/2024 academic year, Sputnik reported.

Higher education on average will rise in price by 7%, depending on the specialty, course and faculty. The cost adjustment is associated with a change in the base rate, an increase in utility prices, maintenance costs of academic buildings, maintenance of salaries of professors and teachers.

The highest cost of a year of study is now at the BSU Institute of Business (5880 byn or about $1960).
