Publishing house “Belarusian Encyclopedia” has published a book about composers

The publishing house "Belarusian encyclopedia named after Petrus Brovka" published the book "Composers of Belarus. Nikolai Aladov. Eugene Glebov. Sergey Cortes" in the series "Great and famous people of the Belarusian land", reports ej.by.

The publication was presented during an international scientific and practical conference at the Belarusian state Academy of arts. The book presents in a popular form the life path, musical creativity and activities of three outstanding Belarusian composers of the twentieth century. The publication is based on unique archival documents, letters, manuscripts, memoirs of contemporaries.

According to one of the authors of the book, head of the Department of history of Belarusian music and musical Belarusian studies of the Belarusian state Academy of music Natalia Ganul- the reader will not only plunge into the musical culture of the past century, but also get in touch with the national history through its outstanding representatives. "Aladov, Glebov and Cortes are associated with the formation of the national professional school of composition of the XX century. These composers have made a huge contribution to the development of Belarusian musical art, musical genres and performing skills. They are the pride of our country and organically fit into the world art space," she said.

A special emotional component of the publication is an illustrative series, archival documents, manuscripts, photographs from the personal archives of composers, thanks to which the reader has an amazing opportunity to join the historical heritage of our national culture.
