Qatar seeks to develop relations with Belarus

The Charge d'affaires of Qatar in Belarus said that Qatar seeks to raise relations with Belarus to a higher level, BelTA reported.

Last year, Belarus and Qatar celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Over the years, as a result of numerous mutual visits of officials of the two countries at various levels, the governments have signed 26 agreements and memoranda of understanding.

"The State of Qatar highly appreciates the level of close and strong relations that bind our countries, and we are constantly striving to raise them to a higher level," the attorney said.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus drew attention to the constructive nature of the Belarusian-Qatari cooperation in various areas and the interaction of the two states in international organizations.

Belarus and the UAE have recently discussed free trade agreements.
