Rail Cargo Transportation increased by 130%

During the January – April 2022 period, the Belarusian Railway increased export container traffic by 1.3 times, BELTA writes. Recently we wrote that it is temporarily prohibited to export certain types of paper from Belarus.

The total volume of export container traffic by the Belarusian railway amounted to more than 50 thousand containers in twenty-foot equivalent. At the same time, the maximum volume of traffic was reached in April. It is 1.6 times higher than the volume for the same period in 2021.

Now the Belarusian Railway is looking for logistics schemes for the delivery of goods to foreign markets. In order to improve the quality of services, additional telephone lines have been opened since April 12, the schedule of which and contact numbers are posted on the official website of the Belarusian Railways.
