Record number of new cars were sold in Belarus in 2019

At present, the Belarusian automobile Association includes more than 20 official dealers who represent 33 car brands, according to ej.by.

2019 was the most successful year in the history of the Belarusian automobile market. At the same time, the record growth rate was recorded in the first quarter, when the market grew by more than 50%, and then the growth rate began to decline.

According to Sergey Mikhnevich, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian automobile Association, such a significant increase in sales was influenced by the deferred demand that was formed from 2014 to 2016, as well as the emergence of new profitable financing tools provided by car dealers. So, according to experts, about 60% of new cars were bought on credit or leasing.
