Register of virtual wallet addresses will be created in Belarus

The President of Belarus signed a Decree No. 48, the portal writes pravo.by with reference to the press service of the President. According to the decree, the Hi-Tech Park should create a register of addresses of virtual wallets used in illegal activities and establish the procedure for its functioning.

The decree will help protect digital asset market participants from property loss and prevent unintentional involvement in illegal activities. It will also help exclude cases of shadow financing of prohibited activities.
