Revenues of the Belarus' largest refrigerator manufacturer may decrease

Since January 1, mandatory certification of refrigerators and washing machines for energy efficiency has been suspended in Belarus, Sputnik reported.

Clients may start buying cheaper household appliances due to the cancellation of mandatory certification for energy efficiency. And Belarusian manufacturers may suffer, as they previously invested money on re-equipment to produce household appliances with high energy efficiency.

In 2021, the Belarusian refrigerator manufacturer Atlant suffered losses of about 10 million US dollars. Cancellation of certification may increase the company's losses in the new year.
