Risk of monkeypox outbreak in Belarus is minimal

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, the probability of infection outbreak in Belarus is low, the Minsk-News agency reports. However, sanitary and quarantine control measures have been strengthened at border checkpoints. Moreover, health workers receive additional training in the diagnosis of the disease.

We remind you that Belgium was the first in the world to introduce a three-week quarantine for visitors with a confirmed disease.

Now Belarusian specialists are developing test systems for the fast diagnosis of monkeypox. It is expected that the tests may appear in mid-June.

At the same time, there is no need for mass vaccination against the disease in Belarus. No cases of infection have been registered on the territory of the country, and the risk of outbreak of this disease is minimal.
