Russian-Belarusian aircraft will appear by 2026

The Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Pyotr Parkhomchik, announced plans to release the first aircraft created in cooperation between Russia and Belarus by 2026, BelTA shares.

In 2021, an agreement was signed between JSC 558th Aviation Repair Plant and the Russian JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant on the development of a 19-seat aircraft. Parkhomchik noted that there is already an order for the production of 85-100 aircraft by 2030. This project also includes the construction of new production facilities and the purchase of equipment.

In addition, Parkhomchik spoke about the implementation of import substitution projects with the support of Russia. Currently, 27 projects have been approved, including the creation of facilities for the production of high-speed gearboxes used in trams and passenger cars.
