Russian vaccine against COVID-19 passed registration in Belarus
The Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" received a registration certificate in Belarus, tut.by reports. Earlier Belarus became the first country to take part in clinical trials of a vaccine.
After the Sputnik V vaccine passed all the necessary tests, it received a Belarusian registration. The third phase of clinical trials of the vaccine involved 100 people. Among them, two people were nevertheless infected with the coronavirus. Testing will last 180 days, based on the results of which a final report will be prepared.
Mass vaccination of Belarusians against coronavirus is planned to begin in January 2020. The first to be vaccinated in Belarus will be doctors, teachers, workers in trade and other spheres who, by virtue of their profession, are in contact with a large number of people. This category of people will be vaccinated for free.
