Scientists at BSU made new odorless fertilizer

Scientists from the Belarusian State University has created an odorless fertilizer from organic animal waste. The fertilizer has no odor and bacteria. It is not harmful to the environment and is enriched with nitrogen, the university's website writes.

The fertilizer consists entirely of local ingredients: organic animal waste and waste lignin as a sorbent. Due to this, it has a low cost. The price is about $200 per ton. The Russian equivalent costs $1000 per ton.

The technology of fertilizer production can be implemented at any agricultural plant or livestock farm. In the near future, the fertilizer is planned to be tested in the Academy of Sciences of Belarus to check its quality.

We remind you that BSU has risen from 354th to 288th place in the world university ranking.
