September of this year was the coldest in 20 years

The average air temperature in Belarus in September this year was 10.4°C. This is 2.3°C below the climatic norm. Thus, September 2022 became the coldest in the last 20 years, BelTA reported.

A negative anomaly of air temperature was observed throughout the country, which was mainly in the range from 2°C to 2.5 °C. In the north, the negative deviation reached 3°C.

The maximum air temperature was recorded on the afternoon of September 4 in Brest. That day, the air warmed up to 21.7°C. The coldest day was September 9th. The lowest temperature was recorded in Bobruisk, which was 3.2°C below zero.

On average, precipitation in the country fell in the amount of 125% of the climatic norm. At the same time, the rains were uneven.
