Seventh place at the European Championship

Belarusian weightlifter Yulia Koteneva took seventh place at the European Championships in Moldova, BelTA reports.

In the category up to 55 kg, she scored 185 kg in the sum of two exercises: 84 kg in the snatch and 101 kg in the clean and jerk. 19 athletes participated in the tournament.

France's Garance Rigaud (205 kg) became the champion, Alexandra Grigoryan from Armenia (202 kg) won silver, and Ukrainian Olga Ivzhenko (201 kg) won bronze.

The competition will last until April 21. The Belarusian team consists of more than ten athletes, including Olympic medalist Yevgeny Tikhontsov.
