Share of payments in national currency of Belarus may increase to 85%

The Eurasian Economic Commission predicts an increase in the share of payments in national currencies in mutual trade between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to 85%+ by the end of 2022, BELTA writes.

The expansion of the use of national currencies in payments in mutual trade is one of the measures to increase the stability of the economies of the Union states.

In all the EAEU countries, the share of payments in the national currency in 2013 was 63%. In 2021, this figure grown to 74%. At the same time, the share of the dollar decreased from 30% in 2013 to 19% in 2021.
