Since 2014, the population in the satellite cities of Minsk has increased by 25%

BELTA writes that by 2035, the increase in the number will be significantly, according to the plan for the settlement of satellite cities.

According to the Minister of Architecture, the population growth is due to the construction of housing. "There will be an active construction of social, engineering and transport infrastructure here," the minister said. "Minsk will help to work in terms of logistics links so that people who live in satellite cities can get to work quickly and comfortably. Of course, this approach has justified itself. But, as the head of state said, this is not the only panacea. After all, if industrial production is being built somewhere today, then tomorrow it is necessary to build housing there."

Satellite city is a city that develops near a larger city and is located no further than 30 km from it.
