Sirens will be checked in Gomel on November 1-3

From November 1 to November 3, civil warning sirens will be heard in Gomel and other settlements of the Gomel region, Sputnik reported. This is a planned comprehensive inspection of warning systems, which is carried out once a year.

On November 1st and 2nd, the sirens will be turned on for five seconds to check their operability. On Thursday, November 3, the automated system of centralized notification of the population will be checked. Residents will receive SMS messages on their phones about the start of checking alert systems. Electric sirens will be turned on at least three times, starting at 10 AM.

During a routine system check, residents need to follow the instructions. They may have to hide in protective structures for some time.
