According to official statistics from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the number of coronavirus cases during the second wave doubled. However, over the past six months, the country's healthcare system has already worked at its limit.

General information on all health facilities makes it clear that hospitals are full of patients and there are fewer and fewer places. Many people had to take a seat in the corridor, waiting for a free sleeping place in the ward. A large number of medical institutions were temporarily retrained into infectious diseases hospitals in order to reduce the burden on doctors.
