Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko has retained the second place in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) after the end of the US Open championship, belta.by reports.

The Belarusian has 7,720 points after leaving the US Open at the semi-final stage. Another Belarusian, Victoria Azarenka, took the 32nd place in the rating — she has 1,990 points, Alexandra Sasnovich — 111th (740 points), Olga Govortsova — 134th (564).

The best tennis player in the world is still Australian Ashleigh Barty — she scored 10,075 points. The third position of the rating is occupied by Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic (5,315).
