South Korea to restrict car exports to Belarus

South Korea introduces new restrictions on the export of goods to Belarus starting in January 2024, Sputnik reported.

Heavy construction equipment, batteries, machine tools and parts for aircraft fall under the new restrictions. As well as passenger cars with an engine displacement of more than two thousand cubic centimeters.

The changes will take effect in early 2024. After that, the export of the above-mentioned goods to Belarus will be prohibited.

However, Belarusian companies will be able to obtain permits for supplies on an individual basis, subject to certain conditions. For example, contracts must be concluded before the changes take effect, or supplies go to subsidiaries.
