Speed limit will be increased on 16 road sections in Belarus

According to Dmytry Korzyuk, the head of DMV, the speed limit will be increased on 16 sections of Belarusian roads. He spoke about the conditions for increasing the speed limit on the Minsk ring road. This topic was discussed on December 27, 2019, at a meeting of the Permanent Commission on road safety under the Council of Ministers, reports newsbel.by.

Korzyuk: "At further optimization of high-speed modes on public roads divisions of the state traffic Inspectorate are ready within competence to consider offers of owners of highways on increase of high-speed modes, and also to consider questions of increase of a high-speed mode on MKAD".

The analysis of accidents, according to him, shows that the main threat to road safety on this road is the consequences of the incidents that occur and the resulting obstacles to traffic.

It was decided to allow traffic at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, including on sections of roads M1, M3, M5, M6, M8, P20, P28, P80 and P58.
