"Sputnik Light" vaccine has been registered in Belarus
"Sputnik Light" vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection has been registered in Belarus, minsknews.by reports.
"Sputnik Light" vaccine is a single-dose vaccine that creates specific cellular and humoral immunity to the SARS CoV-2 virus. The immunogenicity parameters of the vaccine allow the formation of a sufficient immune response on the 28th day after vaccination. The most pronounced immune response and, accordingly, the effectiveness of this vaccine will be in people with previous immunity to COVID-19. During the first phases of clinical trials, it was shown that people who have antibodies after a COVID-19 infection, including in an asymptomatic form, have a significant increase in antibody titers on the 10th day after vaccination with "Sputnik Light" vaccine.
- "It is fundamentally important that the use of this vaccine will expand the scope of vaccination and respond to the high demand in society for immune protection against COVID-19", - the Ministry of Health said.
