Tariffs for thermal energy in Belarus no longer pegged to dollar
Prices for thermal energy in Belarus are no longer pegged to the US dollar. Now the calculations are tied to the currency on which the tariffs currently depend, Sputnik reported. Let us remind you that now Belarusian producers can receive Russian subsidies.
At the moment, this currency is the Russian ruble. Belarus began to abandon the dollar as the basis for prices in the fuel and energy sector in the spring of 2022.
In addition, several other ministries have switched to settlements in Russian rubles with Russian suppliers. Payments with other countries are saved in US dollars.
