Tax on sports and premium cars to be increased

The increased tax is planned to be introduced for owners of new Ferrari and Maserati cars in Belarus, Sputnik reported.

There is no final list of cars with the increased tax yet, but there are car brands that will be included in the list with a high degree of probability. Most likely, the list will include Maybach cars. Perhaps there will be some models of Mercedes, BMW, Audi included.

At the same time, no more than three years should pass from the moment of release of the car. The increased transport tax may affect about 2.4 thousand cars. The rate on them will be ten times more than usual.

The new law will come into force no earlier than January 1, 2024, and possibly only in the spring.
