The 5G network has appeared in the Minsk subway and airport

The 5G network has appeared at three stations and two stages of the Minsk subway, as well as in the hall of official delegations of the National Airport, minsknews.by reports.

Deputy General Director for Telecommunications of the company Mikhail Duka said that the 5G network coverage is provided at the subway stations "Malinovka", "Park Chelyuskintsev" and "Academiya Nauk", as well as the stages of these stations. This allows the company to test the capabilities of the technology. They also plan to provide the entire National Airport with a 5G network.

The network is being tested by the infrastructure operator "Belarusian Cloud Technologies" (beCloud trademark).

Starting from 2020, beCloud is testing the capabilities of 5G technology, determining the optimal scenario for its implementation in Belarus.

- "After the regulator makes a decision on the network deployment model and allocated frequencies, we are ready to start implementing the fifth generation network and start its commercial operation within a year" - beCloud management assures.
