The agreements are ratified! Schengen Visa - 35 euros

The stage of the ratification by Belarus of agreements with the European Union on the introduction of a simplified system for getting visas to citizens of Belarus and the readmission of persons staying without permission has completed, reports Onliner.

The agreements between the parties were signed on the 8^th of January 2020 (the Belarusian side was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei), however, the ratification of the agreements by deputies was completed only on the 2^nd of April.

The next stage is the implementation of all necessary legal formalities by the European Union. The European Parliament needs to ratify the agreements. At the moment, it is unknown how long the ratification procedure will take, however, the agreements are going to enter into force on the 1^st of June.

Earlier the European Union introduced the amendments to the EU Schengen Visa Code, as a result, the cost of a Schengen visa for Belarusians increased up to 80 euros.
