The average salary in Belarus in December 2021 was $643

The nominal accrued average salary of Belarusian workers in December 2021 was BYN1675.3 (or $643 at the exchange rate of 25.01.2022), BELTA writes with reference to Belstat.

This is the amount without holdbacks of income tax (13%) and contributions to the Social Protection Fund (1%). In 2021, real wages increased by 4.4% compared to 2020.

Highest wages were among employees in the IT sector, financial services and insurance, chemical production, mining, research and development in the field of technical.

Employees of hairdressers and beauty salons, creative activities and entertainment, and social services were paid the least.

The highest salary of December 2021 was in Minsk — BYN2404.1. The lowest in the Mogilev region — BYN1286.8.
