The Bolshoi Theater goes into quarantine

The National Opera and Ballet Theater in Minsk has announced that it will be closes for the period from October 29 to November 20, relax.by reports. At this time, all performances will be cancelled.

The break in the theatre`s work is explained by the large number of coronavirus cases among the theater employees. A record number of infections have been recorded today since February 2020. Due to the fact that the conductor and several artists of the orchestra are infected with Covid-19, the next performances will be accompanied by soundtracks.

At the moment, the theater is planning two premieres - the opera Faust by Charles Gounod (November 21) and the opera by Gloria Bruni for children Pinocchio.
