The building of the first city power plant was restored in Minsk

The building of the first city power plant in 1895, which was demolished due to the construction of a hotel chain, was restored in Minsk, Sputnik reported.

The first power plant in Minsk was built in 1895 and was intended for lighting the central streets. The power plant and the lighting network of the city were equipped with a whole complex of equipment: a steam boiler; a steam engine, dynamos; incandescent lamps.

The building was originally built in the style of neo-Gothic industrial architecture. In the 1950s it was rebuilt in the classical style, and in 2012 it was demolished.

Now the building has been restored to its former location.
