About 78% of all cardiac surgeries in 2019 were performed in the regions, but 60% of the most complex and high-tech operations were performed in the RSPC "Cardiology". Unique transplants, implantation of pacemakers, and treatment of arrhythmia with radio frequency energy are performed here. That is why the center for hybrid cardiac surgery is planned to open on the basis of the rnpc in 2024. In simple words, this is a separate building on the territory of the rnpc, where more advanced heart surgery will be performed, reports tut.by.

Director of the RSPC "Cardiology" Alexander Mrochek explains that a new direction has appeared in cardiac surgery — hybrid surgery. It opens the possibility to treat patients with complex cardiac, surgical, vascular diseases.

According to doctors ' estimates, the centers in Minsk and Grodno are considered to be the strongest in terms of cardiac surgery among the regional centers.
