The Chinese coronavirus was given a name

According to tut.by, the world health organization has named the new coronavirus- COVID-19, said General Director Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus at a briefing in Geneva on February 11.

"Now we have the name of the disease. This is COVID-19," he said. COVID-19 is an abbreviation of the words Corona Virus Disease ("disease caused by a coronavirus") and the year the virus appeared. 

The General Director said that these days the organization is discussing the situation with the coronavirus with 400 scientists from all over the world. The who believes that they need 675 million dollars to take measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The efforts of specialists are aimed at creating a vaccine, among other things.
