The Consulate General of Belarus in New York stops its work

The Consulate General of Belarus in New York stops its work on October 21 at the request of the American side, minsknews.by reports.

Belarusians living in the territory of the consular district of the Consulate General (including Canada), after the closure of the Consulate General, will be able to apply to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United States.

Citizens of Belarus who are on permanent consular registration will be transferred to permanent consular registration at the Embassy of Belarus in the United States from November 1.

Those who have previously signed up for a personal appointment at the consulate (before October 15) will be able to submit documents to perform consular actions. After October 15, access to the office of the Consulate General will be impossible.

Consultations by phone are not available since October 8.
