The court did not satisfy the complaint of Tsepkalo against the CEC
It became known that the Supreme Court refused Valery Tsepkalo to satisfy the complaint against the Central Election Commission, reports tut.by. Earlier, the CEC refused to register Valery Tsepkalo as a candidate for President of the Republic of Belarus.
The Supreme Court decided to leave the decision on registration of the CEC unchanged. It should be reminded that on July 14, the Central Election Commission announced its refusal to register as a candidate, due to the insufficient number of signatures in his support. Instead of the requested 100 thousand signatures, the CEC accepted only 78 thousand. Initially, Valery Tsepkalo submitted more than 160 thousand signatures to the Central Election Commission in support of his candidacy for the presidency. On July 16, Valery Tsepkalo applied to the Supreme Court with a demand to appeal against the CEC decision.
The Supreme Court left the complaints without consideration. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
