The drug "Elenagen" for cancer is planned to be put into production in 2024
Belarus is developing drugs for the treatment of cancer, with the aim of launching production in 2024, said Sergey Krasny, Deputy director of the RNPC of Oncology and Medical Radiology, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Sputnik writes.
The antitumor drug "Elenagen", presented at an exhibition in Minsk last year, has demonstrated its effectiveness, but its production has not yet been launched. Scientists have achieved high results in studies of the drug aimed at combating chemoresistant ovarian cancer. However, the complex genetic design of the drug poses a challenge for its production. Despite this, scientists hope to launch production in 2024 and do not exclude the involvement of medical technologies from other countries.
