The European Union has allocated money to help migrants

The European Commission has decided to allocate 700 thousand euros for humanitarian aid to migrants stuck on the Belarusian-Polish borderminsknews.by reports.

200 thousand euros have been allocated to finance the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. This amount will help the Red Cross and its Belarusian branch to provide migrants with the necessary humanitarian aid, food, hygiene products, medicines, blankets.

The EU has also mobilized another 500 thousand euros and is now cooperating with partner humanitarian organizations to use this money.

In addition, the European Commission is ready to allocate additional money for humanitarian assistance in this situation, but only under two conditions: if the needs are clearly justified and if the access of EU partner humanitarian organizations to Belarus improves.
