The largest bribe in 2022 was 1 million dollars

In 2022, the maximum recorded bribe amounted to 1 million US dollars in Belarus. The smallest bribe consisted of food and beverages, Minsk-News reported. 

During the year, at the request of prosecutors, property received as a bribe in the amount of about 1.5 million Belarusian rubles was seized.

According to the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office, the increase in the number of initiated criminal cases of corruption indicates significant shortcomings in the work of government agencies, as well as errors in hiring and personnel management.
