The minimum wage in Belarus will change from January 1, 2022

From January 1, 2022, the minimum wage in Belarus will rise to 457 rublesminsknews.by reports.

The corresponding decision was fixed by the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic No. 721, adopted on Tuesday, December 14.

Since November 15, the procedure for setting the minimum wage has changed. Previously, it was approved by the Government in relation to the minimum consumer budget. Now the size of the minimum wage should be at least 30% of the projected value of the nominal accrued average monthly salary in the republic, defined in the forecast of socio-economic development of the country.

The minimum wage in Belarus in 2021 was set at 400 rubles and, taking into account indexation, increased to 418.14 rubles.
