The national exhibition center near Kuropaty can be in the form of a cornflower

In may of this year, at a meeting, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed to build a national exhibition center in the country by 2021. Various sites were considered for the placement of the building, but as the most suitable area was chosen the area near "Expobela" - a field between the tract of Kuropaty and shopping and entertainment center, onliner.by reports.

— I consider the proposal "Cornflower sky" the most successful. The concept of the center is presented in the form of a Belarusian cornflower — both symbolically and originally. Paving of open exhibition grounds for demonstration of our technical brands is supposed in the form of the Belarusian ornament based on Slutsk belts. The base of the flower-the central building-is intended for the organization of exhibitions of achievements of regions. Pedestrian esplanade unites cornflower petals - it is about 15 thousand exhibition space and conference rooms, as well as a complex of premises for the administration, - says the architect of the project.

The President voiced a fundamental requirement for the exhibition center: the object should be functional, but it should be built without unnecessary expenses.
