The procedure for visa-free entry for foreigners has changed in Belarus. US citizens were banned from entering Belarus without a visa, minsknews.by reports.

On October 17, Presidential Decree No. 345 on changing the order of entry and exit of foreign citizens came into force.

For those who are already in Belarus, nothing changes. Previously, US citizens could enter Belarus without a visa for a period of no more than 30 days.

The decree added Iran, Pakistan, Egypt, South Africa and Jordan to the list of countries whose citizens are allowed visa-free entry to Belarus.

For them, visa-free is valid only if they have a valid visa to the EU or the Schengen area with a mark of entry and return air tickets from Belarus.

The new rules also allow you to enter without a visa not only through the National Airport "Minsk", but also through the airports of regional centers.
