The project of Belarusian architects was included in the final of the MIPIM Awards 2021

Design engineers and architects working in the Belarusian representative office of “REM PRO” have created a project for a unique Olympic sports complex. The sports complex was among the four finalists of the prestigious international award MIPIM Awards 2021 in the category "Best cultural and Sports Infrastructure", minsknews.by reports.

The Olympic Sports Complex is located in Rezekne in Latvia. The complex was opened in 2020.

Today it is a multifunctional sports complex with an area of more than 57 thousand square meters, which includes 4 large facilities. It features a football field with bleachers, a Restart hotel, an outdoor swimming pool, and a multi-purpose arena building. Inside the center there is an ice arena for winter sports, as well as a universal sports ground for volleyball, handball and basketball, a gym, a hall for group fitness training, and a SPA area.

The MIPIM Awards are held within the framework of the largest international symposium in the field of commercial real estate and urban development MIPIM, held annually in Cannes, France.

The sports complex created by Belarusian architects will compete for the Grand Prix of the "architectural Oscar", the final of which is scheduled for September 7-8 in Cannes, France.
