The railway will launch a high-speed train Moscow-Minsk

A new high-speed train "Lastochka" on the route Moscow-Minsk has appeared in the timetable of the Russian Railways, tut.by reports. The exact date of the opening of the route is still unknown.

On the route Moscow-Minsk, 2 high-speed trains will operate, each of them includes 5 cars. The high-speed electric train “Lastochka” (Desiro RUS) was developed by the German company Siemens AG. The total length of the train is 130 meters. The speed of the electric train can reach up to 160 km/h. The train includes 409 ordinary seats for passengers, 4 seats for passengers with disabilities, 30 seats with folding seats.

The exact date of the train launch is still unknown. First of all, both states are waiting for the resumption of the main international passenger traffic between Russia and Belarus. At the moment, only the air border is open with Russia, and the number of flights has been significantly reduced.
