The reconstruction of the Pobeda cinema will begin in January

Pobeda is the oldest cinema in Minsk, it was opened in November 1950. The fate of the building was decided for a long time, but today the tenant is already known and the design has been completed, the Minsk-News agency writes.

There will be three halls in the cinema. The main hall for 108 seats remains, two more halls will be added to it at different levels – for 48 and 10 seats. There will also be two cafes, a conference hall, and a multifunctional open space.

The restoration includes strengthening of foundations and walls, work with facades and interiors, including the lobby, foyer and the hall with columns. The reconstruction will begin this month and will last about two years.
