The Red Cross opened heating places in Gomel

Due to the onset of frosts in Gomel, organizations of the Belarusian Red Cross began to provide assistance to vulnerable people. They have opened 4 heating points in the city for homeless, BELTA writes.

Here they can warm up, get hot drink and food. These places will work as long as the temperature stays at minus 15 degrees and below. The homeless will also be provided with prepared in advance warm clothes and shoes.

Also on January 12, the Red Cross and the traffic police of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee are also holding a preventive activity. Divers will be reminded of the rules for first aid in case of frostbite.
