The Roman Catholic Church in Belarus was headed by Joseph Stanevsky

On September 14, the Vatican press service announced the appointment of a new archbishop of the Minsk-Mogilev Archdiocese. He became Joseph Stanevsky, who is an auxiliary bishop of the Grodno diocesebelta.by reports.

After the resignation of Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusevich on January 3 due to reaching the age of 75, Bishop Kazimir Velikoselets was the temporary apostolic administrator.

Joseph Stanevsky was born on April 4, 1969 in the village of Zanevichi, Grodno region. He graduated from high school in 1986, served in the army. In 1990, he was one of the first enrolled in the Higher Theological Seminary in Grodno, founded by Tadeusz Kondrusevich.
