The rules for crossing the Belarusian border has been changed since July 17

The rules for crossing the state border have changed in Belarus since July 17the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus reports.

The Council of Ministers expanded the list of persons who are allowed to cross the border during the pandemic, and also reduced the period of self-isolation when entering Belarus.

According to the new rules:

  • the period of self-isolation after entering Belarus has been reduced from 10 to 7 days;
  • citizens who have a certificate about the completed course of vaccination against coronavirus are exempt from self-isolation upon entry into the country;
  • the possibility of presenting a PCR test in the "Traveling without COVID-19" app;
  • visa-free entry permit for foreigners for 5 days for the purpose of vaccination;
  • citizens of Belarus can travel abroad according to a document that confirms the right to permanent or temporary residence in a foreign country (no more than once every 6 months);
  • foreigners who have a permit for permanent or temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Belarus can leave for the country of their citizenship (no more than once every 6 months);
  • citizens of Belarus and foreigners who have a permit for permanent or temporary residence in our country and citizens of Russia are allowed to travel to the territory of the Kaliningrad region of Russia by rail without transfers on the way.
