The rules for tourists have changed in Cyprus

On August 1, new rules for tourists came into force in the Republic of Cyprusminsknews.by reports.

For those of them who have completed the vaccination process or recovered from the coronavirus within the last 180 days, nothing has changed. For everyone else, a new requirement has been introduced — 7 days after arrival in the country, you will need to pass an express test or a PCR test at your own expense. After that, every 3 days of rest in Cyprus, the procedure must be repeated.

To visit crowded places in Cyprus, you must present a SafePass. Within seven days, tourists have the right to present their CyprusFlightPass as a SafePass.

Starting from the 8th day, tourists must present one of the following documents as a SafePass:

  • vaccination certificate in English in printed or electronic form (one of the EU-certified vaccines, or Sputnik V, Sinopharm or Sinovac);
  • a certificate of recovery in English (for those who have been ill with Covid-19 within the last 180 days);
  • a certificate with a negative result of an express or PCR test, which must be done at your own expense every 72 hours.

Such measures will be in effect in the country at least until August 31. This is due to the increase in the number of infected COVID-19.
