The third wave of Covid-19 in Belarus

A gradual but noticeable increase in the incidence of coronavirus is registered in Belarus, according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, onliner.by reports. Also, doctors record an increase in the number of severe pneumonia, burdened with coronavirus. According to the results of sentinel epidemiological surveillance, the frequency of detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the studied samples for the 14th calendar week of this year was 11.9 %.

The Sanitary and Epidemiological Service is intensifying its work to conduct epidemiological investigations of each case of the disease and contacts of the first level. Security controls are being tightened across the country. They will double-check the operation of all oxygen stations, the availability of tests, laboratory materials and medicines.

The country also continues to vaccinate the population. According to the data for April 12, 129,899 people were vaccinated with the first dose of the medicine, and 41,688 thousand people received two doses of the vaccine. In the near future, the regions will receive the “Sputnik V” vaccine, which is bottled by the “Belmedpreparaty” company.
