The unemployed in Brest will receive 45 state grants to open their own business

In 2021, about 45 subsidies are planned to be given to the unemployed in Brest to start their own business. BYN152 thousand (approximately $60 thousand) has been allocated to support aspiring entrepreneurs and craftsmen, BELTA writes.

Since the beginning of 2022, about ten people have already applied for subsidies. They will be sent to learn the basics of entrepreneurship. Subsidies will be provided after reviewing their business plans. Money can be spent on the purchase of tools, equipment, materials, raw materials.

In 2021, in total 48 unemployed people received subsidies in Brest, 30% of them were women. Most often, the subsidy is directed to the creation of a beauty business, the provision of services for tailoring and repair of clothing, repair and construction, maintenance of transport.

In Belarus, in order to receive a subsidy, a person must be registered as unemployed. They need to write an application to the employment service and provide a business plan.
